I have always been interested in people, the mind/body connection and how our emotions influence our everyday lives especially after I went through my own experiences in my twenties.

Before I moved to Spain I managed a London based 32 bedroomed residential clinic helping adults overcome drug and alcohol problems. I undertook training in addictions at the Institute of Psychiatry, under Professor John Strang.  Whilst living in Spain I was consulted to deliver teambuilding training to Bruce’s Farm, a residential drug and alcohol recovery unit in Gibraltar.

In 2019 after 15 years of living in Spain, I am now based in the UK and working in forensic mental health at a well known London magistrates court. I am also working privately with clients from all over the world via Zoom

Whilst living in London, I managed a 32 bedroomed residential clinic helping adults overcome drug and alcohol addictions; from detoxification, through to independent living and after care – one of the programmes that I designed and delivered. This setting provided me with invaluable experience as I worked with a significant number of challenging clients from all age groups with diverse backgrounds. I undertook training in addictions at the Institute of Psychiatry, under Professor John Strang. I have recently delivered Teambuilding training to Bruce’s Farm, a residential drug and alcohol recovery unit in Gibraltar.

In my private practice, I work using an integrative approach. What does that mean? It means I listen to what the client brings to our sessions and adopt the therapy style most suited to the person in front of me, providing a bespoke approach. I offer help in a non judgemental and safe environment, with confidentiality at the heart of the work I do.I have a deep understanding and empathise with clients as I too have experienced issues. I believe therapy is both creative and artistic, a bit like helping people paint pictures of their lives, then working alongside to facilitate change, growth and personal development.

I keep things simple by using an approach that you can relate to. I like to help you find your feet in whatever situation you are in, and ease your distress, such as stilling the worry that drives your anxiety, or the self-rebuke that feeds your depression, or the self doubt that hinders you from reaching your full potential. I do this by helping you to respond in more helpful ways but I also have a set of cutting edge therapies that I use in a dynamic interactive way. I like to help you focus on the here and now, without necessarily going over a painful past. However, at some point during the sessions, and for real change to take place, it is beneficial that any underlying trauma is identified and addressed.

I explain all the therapies I use so you fully understand the process. I predominantly use Hypnotherapy and Advanced Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT ®) a new, exciting and effective therapy that is content free. However I can also draw on other tools such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Person-Centred Coaching. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, PG Diploma in Drug Dependence, Kings College, London and a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, UK Hypnosis Academy.
